FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (December 6, 2018) – Farlie Turner & Co. (“Farlie Turner”), a leading investment bank serving middle market clients, is pleased to announce that it served as advisor to Apple Valley Waste Services, Inc. (“AVW”), a portfolio company of Summer Street Capital Partners, LLC, in its sale to Gold Medal Group, a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries, and its minority partner BioHiTech Global. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Based in Kearneysville, West Virginia, AVW is a leading regional provider of solid waste collection, processing and recycling services. AVW is one of the largest collectors and recyclers of municipal, commercial and roll-off waste in the Mid-Atlantic region, providing its suite of waste management services to customers in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. AVW represents a vertically integrated environmental services platform as it operates a municipal solid waste transfer station, recycling transfer station and a single stream material recycling facility.
