Fort Lauderdale, FL – Farlie, Turner & Co., a South Florida-based investment bank, has named Eugene J. Wingerter as a Managing Director of the firm.
Wingerter brings more than 35 years of waste industry experience to Farlie Turner, and will focus on mergers and acquisitions involving waste service and equipment manufacturing companies. He has been active in this area for more than a decade, having previously worked with both Republic Services, Inc. and the BFI Canada Income Fund on their waste industry acquisition efforts.
“Gene’s addition strengthens our position as one of the most experienced financial advisory firms in the solid waste industry,” said Farlie Turner Partner Craig Farlie, who has also been instrumental in the acquisition and sale of numerous privately-held waste companies.
Wingerter previously served for 22 years as Executive Director and CEO of the Environmental Industry Association (EIA) and has also counseled waste companies on technology, information management, and new product marketing.
“Farlie Turner is one of the very few firms that truly understand the waste industry and its somewhat unique marketplace,” said Wingerter. “It is exciting to be part of a team that brings a committed level of senior expertise to all of its clients and transactions.”
