FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. June 22, 2015 – Fort Lauderdale-based investment bank Farlie Turner & Co. ("Farlie Turner") is pleased to announce the hiring of Chris Calton as Managing Director to lead the firm's healthcare practice. Chris joins Farlie Turner after having spent 18 years in investment banking advising a wide range of healthcare companies on merger and acquisition and capital raise transactions. Prior to Farlie Turner, Mr. Calton was a Managing Director for the M&A advisory firm The Jordan Edmiston Group in New York where he primarily focused on advising companies in healthcare and EH&S software industries. Prior to Jordan Edmiston, Mr. Calton was a Managing Director for Nashville-based Avondale Partners, a healthcare focused investment bank. During his nine years with Avondale, Mr. Calton helped spearhead the growth of their healthcare practice advising companies in a wide range of segments and specifically leading the firm's efforts in sourcing and executing transactions in healthcare IT, EH&S software and related software industries.
In conjunction with the hiring of Mr. Calton, Farlie Turner is also pleased to announce the opening of an office in Nashville that will accelerate its expansion into healthcare and serve to build on other key practice areas, including business services and transportation and logistics.

Mr. Calton started his investment banking career with Robertson Stephens & Company in San Francisco and also worked in the Technology M&A Group at Thomas Weisel Partners in San Francisco and New York. He earned a BA from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA and a MBA from Columbia University in New York.
